“Practical Project Management for Church Planting Endeavors”

CPS Process

The Feasibility Phase

The Feasibility Phase builds on the work that was completed and approved in the Concept Phase. As its title suggests, the Feasibility Phase is focused on determining if the church planting endeavor described in the Mission Proposal developed in the Concept Phase is realistic and achievable. This is done by conducting objective, in-depth, and specific analyses of the mission’s context and then evaluating the resources available for executing the efforts required to meet the church planting endeavor’s top level objectives in light of those findings. To determining if the church plant is reasonably achievable, the church planting team conducts a battery of objective analyses relating to the mission’s context. These analyses include in-depth demographic studies, market research related to the church planting strategy, real estate evaluations, economic projections, and the like. These analyses provide the critical information for determining if the resources available are adequate for the work required to execute the mission’s vision and strategy.
